ADMELT® 3183LT is our newest hot melt adhesive based on thermoplastic rubbers. We recommend it for the production of anti-condensation membranes.
What is an anti-condensation membrane and what is it used for?
Anti-condensation membrane (mat) is a non-woven fabric that is attached to the underside of steel trapezoidal roofs. This refers to roofs that do not have insulation. Thanks to its excellent absorption properties, the membrane absorbs moisture that accumulates on the inside of the roofing. Moisture occurs here through condensation. This occurs as a result of cold air coming into contact with heated sheet metal. The reason for installing anti-condensation mats is primarily to protect buildings from moisture. In addition, they provide protection against corrosion and also increase thermal and acoustic insulation.
5 features that will make ADMELT® 3138LT an excellent product for roof anti-condensation membranes:
- MAXIMUM RESISTANCE TO UV RADIATION
- WATER RESISTANCE
- VERY HIGH INITIAL ADHESION TO STEEL, INCLUDING COLD STEEL
- RELATIVELY HIGH HEAT RESISTANCE OF THE ADHESIVE JOINT IN SUMMER
- SOFTENING TEMPERATURE AS HIGH AS 109ᵒC
